Fear of a Black World – An Insightful Editorial Piece

I always heard growing up that racial hatred, discrimination, attack and murder was nothing more than actualized fear.  I never fully understood that though because I didn’t understand why being melanated was even something to be afraid of in the first place.  Then, one day in my 30s I sat across from a red headed white man in a conference room at work.  Everyone was talking gleefully about their children at home and all he said was, “I’m just glad he got my eyes, hair and pure white skin.”  I tried to hide my expression of shock but this video explains his mindset in much greater detail.  I get it now.
