More than 20 years after its inception in the early ?90s, VICE is currently in the process of securing its own cable TV network. The content company, which began as a local magazine and more recently blossomed into an online behemoth, is negotiating a deal with A&E Networks to take over the History Channel?s unsuccessful spinoff channel, H2 for its own programming.
While details are still murky, VICE?s chief exec Shane Smith spoke with The New York Times recently and it sounds like the company is interested in tapping Kanye West for his own show on the possible network.
