Q13 FOX News

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Coach Pete Carroll says he wants Marshawn Lynch to return next season and that the Seahawks are making some “big” offers to keep him on the field.

Lynch has been Seattle’s offensive workhorse over the past five years. With the 28-year-old running back, the Seahawks have won back-to-back NFC championships and the Super Bowl following the 2013 season.

Carroll spoke Friday at the NFL’s annual scouting combine in Indianapolis.

Lynch is expected to make $7 million in 2015. But he’s been trying to get a long-term deal and is now contemplating retirement. On Thursday, general manager John Schneider said he wouldn’t be “shocked” if Lynch did retire.
